Game Name: Asleep: Act 1
Steam Release: 9 May, 2024
Steam Release: 9 May, 2024
Asleep: Act 1 is a pixel-art psychological horror adventure from Black Hole Games, and since darkness draining Ana Lúcia's sanity drives most of its tension, a sanity freeze changes it more than any other edit.
About Asleep: Act 1
Act 1 is set in the Brazilian Northeast during the 1990s and keeps the player almost as much in the dark as Ana Lúcia herself. She keeps her clues in a sketchbook, puzzles are handled point-and-click style, and her world has a darker double that is even less forgiving. One review blurb on the Steam page pitches the game at people who miss Silent Hill, a fair comparison for something this concerned with what a flashlight beam shows and what it hides.Trainer Notes for Asleep: Act 1
In a single-player game the real question is less about risk to anyone else and more about how much of the intended experience you want to keep. Locking sanity takes the penalty out of standing in unlit areas, and stealth-style toggles skip the part where you learn how each monster reacts to light. Switch both on from the start and Act 1 turns into a walk through pixel-art rooms with nothing chasing you. Copy the save folder before the first edit and label the copy with the date, so there is always a clean point to roll back to.Asleep: Act 1 – Game Information
